Editorial Policy
How we research, source, review, update and correct the company profiles and case studies we publish.
We Case Study publishes independent company profiles and business case studies designed to explain how companies operate, grow and compete. This policy describes how we research, source, review, update and correct our work.
Editorial Mission
Our purpose is to produce useful business analysis grounded in identifiable evidence. We aim to explain not only what happened, but also the decisions, systems, trade-offs and limitations behind a company's strategy.
We distinguish between confirmed facts, company-reported claims, third-party reporting and our own analysis. Where information is unavailable or cannot be independently verified, the article should say so.
Scope of Coverage
We cover companies, founders, products, markets and business strategies across areas including growth, marketing, SEO, technology, product strategy, operations, leadership, finance, innovation and AI.
Coverage does not constitute an endorsement, investment recommendation or guarantee of a company's products, claims or future performance.
Source Standards
Our preferred sources include official company websites, filings, reports and public statements; government, regulatory and corporate registry records; direct interviews and attributable statements; reputable news, trade and industry publications; official product documentation; and credible research reports and datasets.
Sources should be relevant to the specific claim they support. Important or time-sensitive claims should be checked against the most recent available information. Company-reported metrics should be identified as company-reported when independent verification is not available.
Anonymous, user-generated or secondary sources may provide context but should not be treated as sole support for significant factual claims without additional verification.
Research and Fact-checking
Writers are responsible for checking names, dates, company relationships, product information, financial figures and other material claims before publication. Where practical, significant claims should be supported by more than one reliable source or by an authoritative primary source.
The working review process is primary-source-first: the author gathers and links evidence, checks time-sensitive claims against current sources, separates company claims from verified facts, and performs a final source-and-fact pass before publication. When a second editor is available, material or sensitive claims should receive an additional review; the site does not imply that every article receives a multi-editor review when that did not occur.
Analysis and interpretation must be clearly separated from factual claims. Uncertainty, missing information and conflicting sources should be disclosed rather than resolved through assumption.
Citations and Links
Sources should be linked close to the relevant statement or listed in a clearly visible Resources or Sources section. Links are selected because they help readers verify or understand a claim, not simply because they mention the same company.
When a source is updated, removed or no longer available, we may replace the link with a current equivalent, an archived version or a note explaining the limitation.
Corrections and Updates
We correct material factual errors when credible evidence shows that published information is inaccurate. Depending on the nature of the change, we may update the text, add clarification or include a correction note.
Minor spelling, formatting or style changes may be made without a correction notice. Material changes affecting the meaning of an article should update the displayed modification date and, where appropriate, include a visible explanation.
Correction requests can be sent to info@wecasestudy.com. Please include the article URL, the disputed statement and supporting evidence. We aim to acknowledge general messages within 2–3 business days and review correction requests within the same week where practical.
Company Responses and Right of Reply
Companies and individuals covered by We Case Study may submit clarifications, primary documents or a response. We consider relevant evidence and may incorporate it when it improves accuracy or context. A request does not automatically result in removal, a favourable rewrite or editorial control.
AI-assisted Tools
We Case Study may use software and AI-assisted tools for research organisation, transcription, summarisation, language editing, content structuring and workflow support. These tools may assist the process but do not replace source verification or human editorial responsibility.
AI-generated output is not treated as a source. Factual claims must be checked against identifiable evidence, and the named author or responsible editor remains accountable for the published work.
Sponsored, Paid and Affiliate Content
Paid, sponsored, partner or affiliate relationships must be disclosed clearly to readers. Commercial participation does not permit a partner to present advertising as independent editorial analysis.
Sponsored or partner content should carry a visible disclosure near the top of the page. Paid links and affiliate links must be handled according to the site's SEO policy and applicable search-engine guidance. Editorial corrections remain separate from commercial approval, and payment does not prevent legitimate corrections or justify unsupported claims.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors and editors should disclose material financial, employment, advisory or personal relationships that could reasonably affect coverage. Where a conflict cannot be managed through disclosure and independent review, another contributor should handle the subject or the assignment should be declined.
